Here’s what you can expect from our services:
We are a church family that loves God and loves each other.
We gather during worship to honor God, to encourage one another and to encounter his Holy presence together. You may see worshipers choose to honor God in worship by standing, sitting, raised hands, quietness, clapping, bowing, laughter, tears and smiles. There is room for everyone. Thanks for being here!
Prayer, Scripture Reading, Preaching
You will hear spoken prayers, the reading of the Bible, and preaching in encouraging and challenging ways.
One of the unique things about Fairview Road is that the music is ‘a cappella’; that is, we sing without the use of musical instruments as we worship God from our hearts with our voices.
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper every week to remember what Jesus did for us on the cross as trays of unleavened bread and cups of grape juice will be passed to everyone. You may choose to participate or pass to the next person.
Trays will also be passed to collect a weekly offering. As our guest, you are not obligated to donate.
At the end of his lesson, the minister will invite anyone with a spiritual need to respond if they want by coming down to the front for prayers.
What is Expected of You?
We hope that you will participate in the worship service, but don’t feel obligated. Fill out a guest card if you like so that we can thank you for being here and inform you of upcoming events. If you have a prayer need you can complete a prayer request.
